We recently had our Transmission and transfer case rebuilt at Leons Transmissions in Reseda Ca. The owner recomended that we get a cross-member for the transfer case becasue the transfer case hangs off the rear of the transmission and the weight is too much for the desing of it and it cracks the housing of the transmission.. I could not find anything that was made for it so I opt to build one of my own, I used 11 gauge steel 1x2 tubing and 1/4 inch steel plate for the mounting surface. With all the welding done with Mig, and the plates cut with a plasma cutter the project didn't that long. We had it done in about 6 hours, painted and all..
